Carl Walter

Founder

Walter's Boot and Shoe Repair may have changed hands in 2015, but it did not change families. Former owner, Carl Walter, entrusted the care of his business to his nephew, Aaron and wife Kim Walter. Aaron and Kim came to Northwest Arkansas from California, where they owned and operated their own successful footwear, luggage, and soft-goods repair business.

Uncle Carl learned the trade from his Uncle Henry who first established the business in 1905. Uncle Carl established his business after serving in WWII. During those early days, Carl's younger brother Clarence (Aaron's father) began working with Carl learning the skills and art of repair. Clarence, upon returning from the Korean Conflict, established his business in California. Aaron being raised in the trade as a young apprentice, acquired the skills and honed the art of repair.
